Sunday Post and Showcase Sunday #23

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog (we modified it to include some more stuff), showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

I've survived the first 3 weeks of NaNoWriMo. ONE MORE TO GO. I can see a smidge of light coming from the end of the tunnel. Freedom. Here I come.

On another note, I actually am having fun with NaNoWriMo, more than I thought I would. And I really didn't think I'd make it this far but I did and I am glad. Although I do have to admit, I don't think 50,000 words is enough :P I think I'll need to work on the story next year as well. But I do have a name so YAY!

I also took part in a blogger interview over at The Attic Reviews.

I only found one cover reveal this week. Which is kind of sad. There could be more but I am too lazy to hunt.

Out of Control by Sarah Alderson

There were however two trailers that came out this week. The first one for the Vampire Academy movie (which again, I refuse to watch because I want to preserve the magic of the book in my mind). I know that loads of people were disappointed by it though.

And the trailer for Bitten (TV series) also came out. I was actually pretty excited for it and then I saw the trailer. All I wanted to do was scream and shout because that wasn't how I imagined the characters at all. I know. I know. It's an adaption but I honestly cannot stand it when things like that happen. Anyway here is the trailer.

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits & Tea. It's an opportunity to share your book haul.

I'm not really disappointed by VA trailer, it's... more like surprised. :) I hope the movie is good, and judged by the trailer, it just might be. :)

  6. The cover is really beautiful :)
The trailer isn't anything special I don't think. I hope the movie is close to the books as well as VA is one of my favorite.

  8. King Hall is great. Enjoy! :)

This VA trailer actually looks better than the first one did. Still a little cringe worthy though.

  11. Nice interview over at the Attic. I was kinda interested in Sia, thought the premise sounded cool but have seen mixed things... I thought at first it was kinda dystopian but I guess not.

    Glad you're enjoying NaNo.

  15. Gah, I don't like what tey did with Vamppire Academy - it looks more like TV show and not the movie.

Bitten on the other hand looks promising. We will see.

  18. I wouldn't recommend Sia :P I read about 30% of the book and it was... awful.
It had a good premise but.. it was shallow.
