Sunday Post and Showcase Sunday #23

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog (we modified it to include some more stuff), showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

I've survived the first 3 weeks of NaNoWriMo. ONE MORE TO GO. I can see a smidge of light coming from the end of the tunnel. Freedom. Here I come.

On another note, I actually am having fun with NaNoWriMo, more than I thought I would. And I really didn't think I'd make it this far but I did and I am glad. Although I do have to admit, I don't think 50,000 words is enough :P I think I'll need to work on the story next year as well. But I do have a name so YAY!

I also took part in a blogger interview over at The Attic Reviews.

I only found one cover reveal this week. Which is kind of sad. There could be more but I am too lazy to hunt.

Out of Control by Sarah Alderson

There were however two trailers that came out this week. The first one for the Vampire Academy movie (which again, I refuse to watch because I want to preserve the magic of the book in my mind). I know that loads of people were disappointed by it though.

And the trailer for Bitten (TV series) also came out. I was actually pretty excited for it and then I saw the trailer. All I wanted to do was scream and shout because that wasn't how I imagined the characters at all. I know. I know. It's an adaption but I honestly cannot stand it when things like that happen. Anyway here is the trailer.

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits & Tea. It's an opportunity to share your book haul.

  1. What She Left Behind has a good cover, a bit spooky! :)

I'm not really disappointed by VA trailer, it's... more like surprised. :) I hope the movie is good, and judged by the trailer, it just might be. :)

    Happy reading!

    My haul

Good luck with your writing!! :D What She Left Behind looks awesome :) Hope you enjoy it

    Meg xxx

My Showcase Sunday if you'd like a look :)

  3. What She Left Behind looks interesting! Ii think I may the only one who is not excited about VA, ahah. xD

  4. What She Left Behind is really interesting. I'm going to host a giveaway of the book and some bookmarks soon so keep your eyes open ;)
I don't think the trailer looks amazing but I'm still really excited for it. :)

  5. What She Left Behind does look awesome! I've started the book now and I'm enjoying it so far :)

  6. The cover is really beautiful :)
The trailer isn't anything special I don't think. I hope the movie is close to the books as well as VA is one of my favorite.

  7. I still haven't read any of the VA books, really must get around to that before the movie comes out. My Sunday Post.

  8. King Hall is great. Enjoy! :)

This VA trailer actually looks better than the first one did. Still a little cringe worthy though.

    My Showcase Sunday

  9. What She Left Behind has an interesting cover and I don't usually notice covers. :) Congrats on the interview!

Enjoy your week! Nice haul too. :)

  11. Nice interview over at the Attic. I was kinda interested in Sia, thought the premise sounded cool but have seen mixed things... I thought at first it was kinda dystopian but I guess not.

    Glad you're enjoying NaNo.

  12. You really should! They are amazing!! I absolutely love the series. And for me it didn't get boring at all! :)

  13. It is better than the first one. I totally agree with the cringeness of it :)

  14. I love love love the cover! And *whispers* I kinda do look at the covers :(

  15. Gah, I don't like what tey did with Vamppire Academy - it looks more like TV show and not the movie.

Bitten on the other hand looks promising. We will see.

Glass @ Way Too Hot Books

  16. I get what you mean! Bitten does look quite promising. Thanks for stopping by

  17. Thanks hun

  18. I wouldn't recommend Sia :P I read about 30% of the book and it was... awful.
It had a good premise but.. it was shallow.

  19. Clayton isn't hot enough and Elena looks weird
(YES I AM SHALLOW :P I DONT CARE. Where is Clayton's curly hair? lsdsjdas I cannot even)
