Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves #30

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog (we modified it to include some more stuff), showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello everyone. I hope you all had a great week. I feel like I am on repeat, the only thing I have to say is how crazy the week was with things going on and all that jazz. I guess the next couple of months will be stressed for me and nothing can really change that. I haven't gotten as much reading as I would like done which makes me really sad but I am trying to get back on schedule. On a completed unrelated note, the snow is sparkling. It was all glittery. Also, I came up with a Drama Llama song this week, because I was bored. Over at The Social Potato, I discussed Secret by Brigid Kemmerer with Faye.

I haven't gotten as much reading done either, it sucks alien balls but there are just so many essays I'm behind on! :( Work is killing me. But I got my first tattoo this week!!! Ah Thursday was a good day :D Hope you all have a great week and get to read all the lovely books!

Cover Reveals

This was a really great week for cover reveals. I didn't even know some of these authors had books coming out.. and then there are some books I really need to dive into so I can prepare for the release of said books *cough I Hunt Killer cough*. 1. *sigh* I haven't got much reading done either. I've had so many assignments to do. :( So far, in 2014 I've only read 2 books!

I still need to read Shine Light. Will have to re-read the other two first, though. I have forgotten what happened since I read them so long ago, lol!

  2. Ohh what tattoo did you get! I'm so curious!
I have Faking Normal to read as well and it looks very intense and emotional, I can't wait to get to it.
Love that cover for Amity, the red on the roof is so spooky!

Beware of the tattoo addiction, I got my first one when I was 17 and now I'm in the middle of planning my *cough* 4th. I love the Princess of Thorns cover, didn't even know Stacey Jay had a new one coming out. Hope you can get some reading in! :)

  18. I hadn't seen 4 of these covers yet, so thanks for the post! It's so weird that the third Jasper Dent book looks kind of different from the first two, isn't it? I wonder if the others are going through a redesign as well. *mutters grumpily*

Kiss of Deception is pretty, too--I like the non-typical covers. And Amity looks scaaaary. :D

I'm glad you grabbed the Burn Bright freebies as well!

  19. It takes courage to get tattoos.. :P Well Paulina doesn't fear anything but I absolutely HATE needles.. so while I do want to get one... I'll probably end up not getting one because of my fear.

The problem is that with college apps and everything.. the paranoia is setting in and event thought I always take time out for reading, it's not nearly enough. :/

  20. Me toooo... there is one in particular I am worried about.. Hopefully it won't disappoint.

  21. It IS! But my copy of the first book (which I STILL have to pick up) has the UK cover :/ so it won't be that big of an issue for me. I am used to mismatched covers even if they break my heart a little. I despise redesigns though. *shudders* They're almost ALWAYS worse than the originals and it just bothers me .-.

I am really excited about Kiss of Deception because it's been a while since I've read anything by Pearson and the Jenna Fox series is really close to my heart so I really do want to see what else she has in store. :) The cover for Amity IS scarryyy.. and I likesss.

I read the first book in the series and adored it and there is never a better incentive than freebies to carry on with a series :P

  23. Do it! My mom got one done with me and she is absolutely terrified of needles and pain. She's 40 and she loves her little tattoo :D
