Top Ten Tuesday #6

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week we are talking about new authors we discovered this year.

Kate Karyus Quinn: She debuted this year and let me just say she blew my mind away. Another Little Piece is easily one of my favorite books this year and I am dead excited to read (Don't You) Forget About Me.

Anne Stuart: Yes I am a little behind, obviously, but hey I didn't get into romantic suspense until this year so you really cannot blame me. Reading her books is addictive. I love the heroes she creates. Or rather the anti-heroes. She develops good mystery that doesn't require you to run around in circles. Maybe my anne stuart phase will wear out but for the moment, I want to read everything I can get my grabby hands on.

Amanda Stevens: I discovered her Graveyard Queen series this year and immediately fell in love. It was so UNIQUE and so absolutely creepy. I am ready to gobble up whatever else I find because I have no doubt that she will not disappoint.

Shiloh Walker: Aside from the fact that she crafts wonderful stories, she was also one of the few authors that spoke up for us when the goodreads fiasco went down. I did discover her before that happened and I am glad one of my favorite authors stood up for us.

Stacia Kane: Downside Ghosts is one of my favorite urban fantasy series. I am so glad I discovered her series this year because otherwise, I would have been missing out on a lot.

Kristan Higgins: I discovered her earlier this year and basically went on a crazy spree and read almost everything by her. Holy crap her books are addictive. She rights sweet chic lits that won't fail to cheer you up.

Terra Elan McVoy: Criminal was a beautiful story. I haven't read anything else by her but plan to do so in the near future.

Jenn Bennett: I LOVED her Arcadia Bell series and am so excited to dig into her Roaring Twenties one. I really don't know what else to say when it comes to her because there is too much that can be said.

Mindee Arnett: She debuted this year and like woah. The Arkwell Academy is awesome. I don't know what to expect from Avalon but I most definitely look forward to the second installment in the series.

Sarah Fine: All I am going to say is one thing. Malachi. Okay I am done.

  3. I am very, very excited that you've discovered a love for Kate Karyus Quinn and Sarah Fine! Both among my favorites as well. :) I haven't read an Amanda Stevens book in forever, but I remember a couple of her thrillers being pretty creepy.
