The explosive finale to Marie Lu’s New York Times bestselling LEGEND trilogy—perfect for fans of THE HUNGER GAMES and DIVERGENT!
He is a Legend.
She is a Prodigy.
Who will be Champion?
June and Day have sacrificed so much for the people of the Republic—and each other—and now their country is on the brink of a new existence. June is back in the good graces of the Republic, working within the government’s elite circles as Princeps Elect while Day has been assigned a high level military position. But neither could have predicted the circumstances that will reunite them once again. Just when a peace treaty is imminent, a plague outbreak causes panic in the Colonies, and war threatens the Republic’s border cities. This new strain of plague is deadlier than ever, and June is the only one who knows the key to her country’s defense. But saving the lives of thousands will mean asking the one she loves to give up everything he has. With heart-pounding action and suspense, Marie Lu’s bestselling trilogy draws to a stunning conclusion
My Thoughts:
Umm.. I cannot believe this series will be ending soon. I mean I still need to read Prodigy (it's sitting on my shelf) but it's like time is flying. This cover is actually the prettiest in my opinion. Maybe it's that bullet hole. It makes me wonder how much pain Marie Lu is going to put is through in this installment. If the expected publication date doesn't change, I'll be a happy woman.
Nice review. I found you through Book Blogs and am a new follower. I hope you'll check out my blog and consider following me back. http://kellyhashway.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteHeya, followed you back
DeleteI LOVE this cover! It's probably my favorite of all three. And see? You CAN have great covers without cover models. I'm nervous about this bullet hole, though. I wonder who will be getting shot, if anyone. ;)
ReplyDeleteCover models usually annoy me because I like to imagine my characters instead of being told how they look :D
Delete...I hope Day doesn't get shot (I have a soft spot for him :P)
I'm so excited about Champion! I loved Legend, and loved Prodigy even more! The cover does make me worry about who will be shot like Sam said above, but at least this book is coming out this year, instead of next! :)
ReplyDelete.. Prodigy is better? I've heard the ending is not so nice to us poor readers so I am scared to read it. I mean I've read a couple of pages but.. still.
DeleteWow, this cover is really gorgeous!
