Sunday Post and Stacking Shelves #52

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog (we modified it to include some more stuff), showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

I'm basically back now! Wow the unplanned break was rather great but I felt so bad about not posting a lot and I've managed to not write any reviews for about a week so I have to catch up. But my week has been rather great. I managed to buy 4 books for £2 which is like a miracle and I'm super excited to read them because of the bargain they were!

Wow okay so I somehow managed to finish college and all of my essays! I still can't believe it. It was so stressful but my summer has finally begun. Now I just need to go in on Monday and find out whether or not I passed. No pressure.

As promised the blog has been a little bit more lively recently with me working on posts and visiting all your lovely blogs religiously. This week I have basically done nothing but read and watch TV in bed... It got so bad that I felt pretty dead after finishing my four hour shift at work! But on the plus side I'm beginning to learn to drive and it's going great. Or at least I assume so seeing as I haven't killed anyone yet :D

The blog has been pretty quiet recently and for that I'm sorry but my life has been so super busy that I haven't even logged onto my laptop since Thursday! Which is a massive shocker as usually I can't keep myself away. Rashika is away studying like the good student she is at the moment so it's just me I'm afraid running the blog for a while, but I have two weeks off college so I'll be on here pretty much all the time :D

So this was basically my last week before the upcoming hiatus and wow, I am dead tired. I got back some of the grades from my mocks and they definitely went better than expected. Physics was bleh and Math was bleh but everything else, WOOT. I've already started revising like a good kid so yay. Also I received my first review copy from a publisher (to be reviewed on The Social Potato and will thus not be a part of Tangled in Pages book haul) this week so double yay.
-Rashika

So this week has been busy with only one day free! I was actually thinking of getting another part time job but that would leave me about 5 hours a week for reading! Never going to happen. But I do like money. I hope you guys have had a fantastic week and got lots of reading done

Bought
I've already read this one but since I borrowed it, I am glad to finally own it as well.
One of my favorite books from when I was younger and I am so so glad to own a copy, a re-read is definitely in the future.

It would have probably been wiser if I bought the books in the right order but ah well. You gotta start somewhere?
Won
I also won an ARC for this one a while ago and it came in the mail on Friday so YAY!

The Book Thief
For those of you who don't live in the UK and don't know what a charity shop is it's basically given away in the title. It's second hand/brand new donated stuff that's sold and then the money goes to different charities! It's great and the books are cheap :D

Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves #39

My mocks are over. wow. THAT was scary.. and a whole week of sleep deprivation resulted in me waking up at 1 on Friday (I didn't have any exams that day so no school!). I have been so tired this week. Exams have a way of sapping up all your energy and leaving an empty shell behind O_O I didn't put up a review this week because it took me forever to finish the book. It was annoying and boring and I was just too tired to write another review for a book that I didn't enjoy, but I did post a review for Sea of Shadows by Kelley Armstrong on The Social Potato. I am still going to be around for another week before disappearing but I won't completely disappear from the blogsphere ^_^. I'll still try to drop by and comment :)
-Rashika

My week has been surprisingly calm and I had a lot of free time on my hands which is strange and I wasn't used to it. But next week is looking super busy! :(

Really happy about this one because I had the ebook and now I have the PRETTY HARDBACK and I absolutely adored the series. *parteh*
This is definitely not my type but it is right up my mom's alley so I am giving it to her.
