Goodreads Summary

The last thing Dawson Black expected was Bethany Williams. As a Luxen, an alien life form on Earth, human girls are…well, fun. But since the Luxen have to keep their true identities a secret, falling for one would be insane. Dangerous. Tempting. Undeniable. Bethany can’t deny the immediate connection between her and Dawson. And even though boys aren’t a complication she wants, she can’t stay away from him. Still, whenever they lock eyes, she’s drawn in. Captivated. Lured. Loved. Dawson is keeping a secret that will change her existence...and put her life in jeopardy. But even he can’t stop risking everything for one human girl. Or from a fate that is as unavoidable as love itself.

Sounds dreamy right? Well it is. I am going to kick start this amazing Obsidian week that Rashika and I have been meaning to do for months but it just wasn't going our way!

Where can I begin? Okay so amazing cover (as always) by an amazing author. I love Jennifer. Her writing is just so amazing and teenage like that I can't help myself but love!! I don't exactly read the novels before or random ones in between the series... Never really saw the point in them. But I'm so glad I read this little thing. Broke my heart that I didn't get to hold it in my hand as a paperback to be honest.

Right. I am keeping this short and sweet just like this book. Well... Sweet until the ending.

Bethany and Dawson were like the Romeo and Juliet of our time. If aliens were walking among us and were hiding in really hot bodies. I already knew that their relationship was going to be cute and romantic and want to make me put knives through my eyes at their cuteness but I didn't think it would be told in this really amazing way. Okay that's a lie. I expected the writing to be amazing as the rest of the books written by Jennifer. I can't even explain how good this little thing was. It was so nice to know Dee and Daemon before the tragedy and see how the Luxen worked and how they really are. It was just nice to finally be able to tell the difference between Dawson and Daemon.

These are just some of the words I was able to put down to describe the little book. I just cannot find the right words!!
