I mean there were times this year when I had 3 DNFs in a row so I figure I am doing something wrong and it's not only the books.

Sometimes blogging can just become pressurizing and you need to know where to draw a line so that doing something you love doesn't become a burden.

Thanks Wendy! My priorities are in need of sorting out haha

I'm sure you'll do great this year too! If nothing else, you'll be whooping my butt in the reading challenge without a doubt hahaFarhanahttp://www.digestingthewords.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4633930861323492726.post-33843977390846443162014-01-01T17:20:38.985+00:002014-01-01T17:20:38.985+00:00Hey Farhana! :D Haven't seen you around in a w...Hey Farhana! :D Haven't seen you around in a while. I am also a hermit since I never leave the house.. apparently that is not a good thing. People are difficult and I just don't comprehend them. I AM NOT FIT FOR NORMAL SOCIETY. But I'll have to try .-.Rashikahttp://tangledinpages.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4633930861323492726.post-78460857361029386422013-12-31T18:49:53.442+00:002013-12-31T18:49:53.442+00:00300+ books is amazing Rashika. It's such an amazing book. I recommend that you read Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell too. It's a great book and is loved by John Green too :)Farhanahttp://www.digestingthewords.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4633930861323492726.post-54533808360796448282013-12-31T17:50:14.989+00:002013-12-31T17:50:14.989+00:00So funny, because one of my goals consistently for...So funny, because one of my goals consistently for the past year or so has been to DNF MORE books, hah. There's just not enough time to hit all the books I want to read, let alone waste time on ones I'm not into. And hah hah, I see Sam below me is saying the same thing. ;)

I think trying to not be obsessed with stats is a good thing, though. I do think it's smart to generally be aware of where you are/identify what you like/continue to try to do better, but getting wrapped up in numbers is a losing game. I think bloggers are much happier when they write about and review what they're most passionate about.

Good luck with your 2014 goals, ladies! Cheers to a great 2014.

Wendy @ The Midnight GardenWendy Darlingnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4633930861323492726.post-73740100902038990602013-12-31T15:30:10.920+00:002013-12-31T15:30:10.920+00:00One of my goals is actually to DNF MORE! I used to feel guilty about abandoning books early on, but I've come to realise that I'm much happier when I don't force myself through titles I don't enjoy. Talk to people more often is one I agree with, though. I'm terrible at it in reality (it doesn't require half as much effort online), but I need to break out of my antisocial habits eventually.... I guess... *cries*

Paulina, good luck with learning to play the guitar! It's one of my favourite instruments, and I wish I had the patience to learn to play it well. I attempted the ukulele last year and gave up after a few weeks. I'm not great at persevering. :PSam @ Realm of Fictionhttp://realmoffiction.blogspot.co.uk/noreply@blogger.com
